After losing the Qualifier 2 fn the IPL 2022 Between RCB Vs RR, on 27th May, RCB Skipper Faf Du Plessis gave a shocking and heart warming statement about the Indian Cricket Team and young Indian cricketers.
“We felt we were a little short” said Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis after his team was defeated by Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League 2022 on Friday.
“It was a little difficult with the new ball because it moved around a little.” But we made it through the first six without incident. That first session felt like a Test match. Really, more bounce. Still, we thought 180 was sufficient.
“Otherwise, I am extremely proud.” RCB has had a fantastic season. My first season, and I’m amazed at how special the crowds have been for us. Harshal Patel, Dinesh Karthik, and the rest of the Indian team deserve it. “I’m proud of the team, even if we weren’t at our best tonight against a very strong Rajasthan Royals side,” he added.
Looking on the bright side, the captain expressed optimism for the future and praised the domestic talent in the marquee league. “Our team has some really good young players, and you have a three-year plan. That is what you want to maximise. You can see how effective Rajat Patidar has been since his arrival. Indian cricket has a bright future. With the amount of young talent coming through, you can always pick three Indian teams after the IPL.”
“The most obvious thing has been our fans. You can go to any game and hear RCB-RCB chanted. Even when we were playing Mumbai, the guys got emotional when they heard the RCB chants. So, congratulations to our fans, and thank you very much “du Plessis said, thanking the franchise’s devoted fanbase.
